FILM 2288: AND SOON THE DARKNESS (1970)

TRIVIA: Made by more or less the same production team that had made The Avengers (1961) television series.

Terry Nation, credited with writing the original story, came up with a very different villian almost a decade earlier when he created the Daleks for Doctor Who. If not for the Daleks, the show may have died an early death. His creation made him, and the show famous, even spawning two Dalek feature films. He would later go on to create the excellent sci-fi series Blake's Seven.

ONE SENTENCE REVIEW: Almost everyone is creepy enough to be a murderer in this atmospheric film that paints cycling around France in such a bad light it could have been propaganda.
