FILM 2361: GREENLAND (2020)
TRIVIA: The comet is named "Clarke," in a tribute to the late Arthur C. Clarke, author of the 1993 novel "Hammer of God," which describes the impact on Earth of a planet-killing asteroid. The novel predates the movies "Armageddon" and "Deep Impact," which deal with similar events.
Chris Evans was initially attached to play the lead role with Neill Blomkamp directing. Both dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.
Sam Elliott was almost cast, but talks broke down and Scott Glenn was cast instead.
ONE SENTENCE REVIEW: Ridiculous, and not as much fun as I was hoping for a ridiculous disaster movie.
