Who knew mouldy fruit could be so beautiful? Well I did because this beautifully ugly aesthetic is one that I love (also see my post on Modern Still Lifes LINK) But to portray the putrefaction in such a beautiful way with beads and embroidery is a lovely idea from artist Kathleen Ryan. The mould sparkles in a way you wouldn't expect but the nice thing is that the mind is still drawn to the source idea of the rotting of a once living thing.
