JUST FINISHED LISTENING: THE BATTERSEA POLTERGEIST
Danny Robins, the presenter of Radio 4's The Battersea Poltergeist tells the story behind the haunting of 63 Wycliffe Road, London.
MY VERDICT: I was sceptical at first – not about whether there are such things are ghosts but about whether this podcast would be any good. Typically, I’m not a fan of re-enactments or fictional scripted parts of otherwise non-fictional podcasts but this one was really well done. The whole podcast was so well done in fact that it had me jumping at the smallest things I could see in my peripheral vision while I was listening whilst doing my cleaning. It did make me wonder can you create an atmosphere of fear so strong that you could make things appear to happen yourself?
Whether you believe or not it’s quite entertaining and I would give it a go – you might find yourself enjoying something you wasn’t aware you would. Also, it would be interesting to know if you believe the haunting to be real or not?
