JUST FINISHED WATCHING: UNBELIEVABLE (2019)

A teenager is charged with lying about having been raped, but two detectives follow the path to the truth.

TRIVIA: This story was presented on a "This American Life" podcast from Feb 2016 titled Anatomy Of Doubt.

The character Special Agent Billy Taggart (Scott Lawrence) is named for two characters in Beverly Hills Cop (1984): Detective Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Sgt. Taggart (John Ashton), who are partners.

MY VERDICT: I put off watching this even though I had heard good things because I thought it would be just too depressing or harrowing, but it’s really not. After the first episode you get introduced to some great female detectives who will just not let this case go. I highly recommend this excellent mini series. The acting by all is phenomenal.
