A neon sign in "The Beef's" front window proclaims "Vienna Beef." The Vienna Beef company is located in Chicago, founded by two immigrants from Vienna at the time of the 1893 World's Fair, Chicago's Columbian Exposition. The Vienna Beef company has become the primary purveyor of hot dogs, Polish sausages & selected deli meats to independent hot dog joints & delis across Chicagoland.
Guest stars have included three Oscar winners - Jamie Lee Curtis, Olivia Colman, and Brie Larson - and one Oscar nominee - Rob Reiner.
MY VERDICT: To say I enjoyed watching this show would maybe not be the right word. It is a hard watch, filled with tension and hostility with people who claim to love each other and yet treat each other quite badly. Some things are believable and realistic and others are not. But yet it’s still good and I kept going back for more.
