JUST FINISHED WATCHING: A MURDER AT THE END OF THE WORLD (2023)
Gen Z amateur sleuth Darby Hart and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote location. When one of the guests is found dead, Darby must use her skills to prove it was murder.
TRIVIA: Darby's name means "deer," or "deer park" in Old English/Norse. A doe (as referred to the murdered women) is also a deer.
Scott Burik, the stunt coordinator on the set, taught Kellan Tetlow (Zoomer) how to ride a bike. When you see him riding in the show, he had only been on a bike a handful of times at that point, so the scene is very realistic.
MY VERDICT: This show was atmospheric and well-written, it hooked me from the first scene. The characters feel rounded and interesting and the acting is great. I would have preferred another season of the OA from Brit Marling but enjoyed it nonetheless. I also loved the locations and the set design, a treat to watch.
