JUST FINISHED WATCHING: MONSTERS: THE LYLE AND ERIK MENENDEZ STORY (2024)

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is the second season of the American biographical crime drama anthology television series Monster, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan for Netflix. This season centers on the 1989 murders of José and Kitty Menéndez, who were killed by their sons, Lyle and Erik.

MY VERDICT: I think the acting in this show is truly great. And I think one of the hardest things about telling this story is knowing what is fact and what isn’t. And I do think this show does a great job of blurring these lines and making it clear that we don’t know the truth or who to believe. It looks fantastic and even if you’re not interested in true crime it’s still an interesting story with some great performances.
